ProCast is a new modeling/sculpture wax developed by Dim Clay. It is a tougher version of MaxCast wax was developed in order to meet the continued need for our sculptors to make modeling more and more refined, more finely detailed and "sharp" It is extremely hard, the hardest of all our waxes, if possible sanding and polishing to give a superior finish for your sculpture.
-Works great as a Casting wax, but also models-like clay;
-Great fluidity when used in waxpen;
-Super-tough (tougher than any clay or wax that we have today);
-Drop-resistant (to some extent, of course);
-It works great with waxpen;
-Color gray - has a nice tone to the eyes and allows viewing of light and shadow more easily;
-It enables you to casting, it has high fluidity and makes no bubbles when melted;
-Has a very good and precise carving without chipping;
-Works well with D-Limonene and Alcohol torch;
-Can be used in the process of electro-plating for copper mold making to produce vinyl castings;
-Great to be melted and poured into molds to make a positive part of an existing model (approximately 3% shrinkage when melted at 167º F).
-It is not essential to use armature but it makes easyer the initial positioning of the character.
-Can be heated in the same way that the Oil Clay, with a bulb oven lamp, heat gun or hair dryers.
